Spring Reverb Help

So I have built the Standard 22 reverb with the 8ohm in an 2250ohm out variation, Ordered am Accutronics originslly but got sent this as the original was out of stock

I copied the schematic exactly, but am running into issues around the input stage I beleive, please see video and pictures below , I am getting some signal, tank is powering as you can see when I tap has a good range of tone but when I am playing guitar in only the hardest struck notes come through and seem to be clipping hard when they do,

I think it may be around the 4.7k resistors where the diodes are but any feedback or input would be helpful if I am missing something obvious

Hi. This seems like a bias issue. The values should be good for your tank already. Just to exclude the obvious, is the input of the coil isolated from the box and ground on both sides? Maybe you're accidentally shorting the bottom connection to ground with the connector.

Right. It mustn't touch the box. In my case I used heatshrink between the thread and the hole, and tape on the ends, it might be different for you. If that's good you can check voltages around that part.
